this project initially started with me looking at African prints from around the continent. I looked at different shapes and styles and created Lino prints as initial sketches and experiments.
moving on with the theme of the textiles; I started to look at exotic flowers because that was a common theme in the Ankara prints that I saw. I decided to make the flowers more graphic.
the colours were in line with spring/summer 21.
